BOXY Terms & Conditions

Welcome to BOXY ("BOXY," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and equipment. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

 

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or rental services.

 

By placing an order, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

1. Our Service

 

BOXY rents reusable plastic moving bins and related moving equipment, including dollies and other rental accessories.

 

Our service includes delivery and pickup within our service area.

 

BOXY is a rental company only.

 

We do not provide moving, packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, or transportation of your personal belongings. 

Customers are solely responsible for packing, moving, and securing their own belongings.

2. Rental Period

​

Your rental begins when your equipment is delivered and ends when BOXY retrieves the equipment.

 

Rental extensions are subject to equipment availability and should be requested before your scheduled pickup date.

 

Additional rental charges may apply for approved extensions.

​

 

3. Customer Responsibilities

 

During your rental period you agree to:

​

  • Keep all equipment in your possession and under your control.

  • Use equipment in a safe and reasonable manner.

  • Return all equipment in substantially the same condition it was delivered, allowing for normal wear.

  • Keep bins empty and ready for pickup at the scheduled pickup time.

  • Notify BOXY promptly if equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen.

 

Equipment remains the property of BOXY at all times.

4. Delivery & Pickup

 

Customers are responsible for ensuring that BOXY can reasonably complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.

 

This includes:

​

  • Being available during the scheduled delivery or pickup window, or

  • Providing clear instructions for a safe, accessible drop-off or pickup location if previously approved by BOXY.

 

If BOXY arrives and cannot complete delivery or pickup because:

​

  • no one is available,

  • the equipment is not accessible,

  • the address provided is incorrect,

  • access is blocked,

  • or the customer is otherwise unprepared,

 

BOXY reserves the right to charge a redelivery or return-trip fee, continue applicable rental charges, and reschedule service.  Rental charges continue until all equipment has been successfully retrieved.

5. Late Returns

​

Rental extensions should be requested before the scheduled pickup date.

 

If equipment is not available for pickup as scheduled and no extension has been approved, additional rental fees may apply.

 

Equipment that is not returned after an extended period without communication may be considered unreturned, and BOXY reserves the right to charge replacement costs and pursue recovery of its property.

6. Damage, Loss & Replacement

​

Customers are responsible for equipment that is damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen while in their possession.

 

Normal cosmetic wear is expected.

 

Charges may apply for:

​

  • excessive damage,

  • missing equipment,

  • permanent markings,

  • misuse,

  • or equipment requiring unusual cleaning or repair.

 

Replacement costs and applicable fees are outlined in BOXY's Rental Agreement.

7. Safe Use

​

Customers agree to use all equipment safely.

​

Equipment should not be:

​

  • overloaded,

  • improperly stacked,

  • used by children as toys,

  • used to transport hazardous materials,

  • or used for any unlawful purpose.

 

BOXY is not responsible for injuries or property damage resulting from improper use of rented equipment.

​

 

8. Payments

​

Payment is due according to the pricing displayed during checkout.

​

By placing an order, you authorize BOXY to charge your selected payment method for:

​

  • rental charges,

  • approved extensions,

  • applicable fees,

  • damage,

  • missing equipment,

  • or other charges authorized under these Terms or the Rental Agreement.​

 

 

9. Service Availability

​

BOXY will make every reasonable effort to deliver and pick up equipment within scheduled time windows.  Estimated delivery and pickup windows are not guaranteed appointment times.

​

However, delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

​

  • traffic,

  • weather,

  • vehicle breakdowns,

  • road closures,

  • emergencies,

  • or other unforeseen events.

 

Such delays do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

​

 

10. Limitation of Liability

​

To the fullest extent permitted by Louisiana law, BOXY shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our website, services, or rental equipment.

​

Customers assume responsibility for the proper use of rented equipment.

 

 

11. Privacy

​

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

 

 

12. Changes to These Terms

​

BOXY may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

​

Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date.

​

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

 

 

13. Governing Law

​

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.

​

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by applicable Louisiana law.

 

 

14. Entire Agreement

​

These Terms & Conditions, together with BOXY's Rental Agreement and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between BOXY and the customer regarding the use of our website, rental equipment, and services.
